Good News and Bad News

Good news: A new series called Masters of Science Fiction is in the works. Let me throw a few names at you: Ellison, Heinlein, Bradbury, and Asimov. Real live scripted drama. Sounds good, yes?

Bad news: It's going to be on ABC. The same network that cancelled several shows that I loved without giving them a chance or a new timeslot.

I hope they put out enough episodes to release a DVD.

Kathy,

While I don't have an opinion about the new show you are so excited over I do have some CONGRATULATIONS to share!!! Took Timmers out to lunch for his b-day today and he shared with Robo and me that you had a baby. I am so happy for you and your hubby. She is just precious. Timmers also shared your blog page, so haha...now you aren't so lostonpurpose anymore ;o) Remembering you as a non-kid type I was very curious to know how you are doing as a new mommy. Your pictures tell all. You look just as proud as any new mom ever did. My son Sean is now 6 and the big brother of Holly now 7 months old. I sent an e-mail to your yahoo account earlier today. Not even sure if you still check it, but thought I'd give it a shot.

We miss you BTW. Reading some of your posts had me reminiscing about conversations past. I loved that you could talk about anything. I loved that you had an opinion on most subjects. I loved that you weren't shy about sharing those opinions.

ABC can only break your heart. RIP Cupid.

Oh, I forgot Cupid in my ABC cancelled shows list. That was a heartbreaker too. Poor Jeremy Piven...although he's doing all right with Entourage these days.

Well, ABC did manage to not cancel Lost, just as Fox managed not to cancel 24, so it's not a totally hopeless cause. Still the track record is not a good one.
