The snowstorm started about 7 or 8 a.m., and I took this picture at noon. No one has driven on the street in front of my house since the snow began. It's completely flat, undisturbed snow. I felt weird putting footprints into the snow in front of my house, making my way to the mailbox, but I wanted to bring the trash can up to the house anyway.

It Struck Me As Odd
I couldn't work out what looked so strange when I braved the ongoing snowstorm to take an important letter out to the mailbox, but it finally occurred to me what it was after I got back in the house.
